We are officially in the era of digital listening - and, thankfully for military spouses, there are a plethora of podcasts that fit the bill for relatable content that we can consume and tune into while busy and on the go.

Military spouses are widely known and respected as the ultimate multi-taskers, often juggling their own careers, households, personal needs and more, which is why podcasts are more relevant to them than ever before.

Here at Military Brands, we have a few personal favorites we’ve gathered from our own listening, which we’ve highlighted below!

Know Your Neighbor by Chris Yenias

Available on: Apple Podcasts

Know Your Neighbor is actually a podcast produced by my neighbor and friend, Chris Yenias.

As a 2005 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and proud U.S. Navy Veteran, Chris has a vast personal and professional network which spans beyond most.

In his podcasts, he brings his neighbors in the greater Annapolis, MD area on to share about their career paths, trials, tribulations, life lessons and everything in between.

Chris shares:

“I'm a Naval Academy grad and former Navy pilot, now living in Annapolis and hosting Know Your Neighbor—a conversational, in-person podcast featuring unscripted, thoughtful interviews with people doing meaningful work.

Know Your Neighbor is a podcast about real conversations with people you pass every day but never really know. From Veterans and founders to wellness experts and community leaders, each episode explores what shapes them, what they’re building, and what they’ve learned along the way. It’s about curiosity, connection, and slowing down long enough to actually hear someone’s story.”

One of his most recent guests on the show was actually my husband, LCDR Ben Horn, a periodontist in the United States Navy. Ben’s segment on the show is two parts - the first episode highlighting his career and lessons learned as a Naval Aviator in the United States Navy, and the second being his lateral transition to the Navy Dental Corps, as well as how our family had to adapt and overcome challenges over the course of this time.
